Renata Rehorovska gained her basic art education at the legendary School of Fine Arts (LŠU) at the Štefánikova Street in Bratislava under the guidance of experienced teachers and academic painters František Jurík, František Studený, Zuzka Rusková and Karol Dobiáš. This period defined Renata´s further artistic direction. She continued her education at private seminar of academic painter Peter Cibula, professor at the Art-technical high school in Bratislava. She further developed her artistic skills at the Faculty of Architecture under the guidance of academic sculptor Gabriela Gásparova-Íllesová and academic painter Stanislav Harangózo. She finished her education at the Faculty of Architecture at the Slovak Technical University (STU) under the guidance of professor Peter Gal.
Renata continued her dedication to painting and later on to a non-woven tapestry technique that remains to be her passion until today. She enhances this technique with new elements such as unconventional materials and technological procedures before the final fixation of tapestries on the special machine called Arachné a PS 3000 (one of the fixation styles of textile techniques of ARTTEX).
Her artworks can be found in exhibitions at home and abroad in individual as well as collective exhibitions all around the world, most notably in the USA, Bulgaria, Israel, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, Peru, SAE and Austria. Moreover, she is a member of the club of textile artists ARTTEX and Slovak Union of Visual Arts (member of International Association of Art (IAA)). Renata currently lives and works in Bratislava, Slovakia.
