Influenced by Cubism and Constructivism, Bacman employes pulsating colours and tight geometric formulations to express his embrace of urban living. While completing his studies in Catholic Junior College Singapore, he spontaneously took part in the 1993 “My Singapore, My Home” art competition organised by the Singapore Ministry of Culture and was awarded with the Merit Prize. This was his first public recognition for his artistic talents.

Increasing his career, he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in International hospitality management (Les Roches International School of Hotel Management),

which brought him to Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the USA.

Donegel’ Chong

After his last station in the USA, Donegel’ Chong took up fashion design, creating his fashion brands, Malefactor and Donegel’ Chong; all brought under his first boutique in Zurich, FADESTO – FAshion DEsigners STarting Out.

An unexpected chance led Donegel’ Chong back to the hospitality industry in Japan, Malaysia and China. Finaly an opportunity in retail brought him back to Switzerland again, where the multilevel artist is currently living and working.

The themes about the climate change and the global consequences are part of her artistic history since many years.

Influenced by nature, the compositions reflect her passion for the richness of nature, a sense of wonder of life and its mysteries.

The euphoric colours elicit universal truth and infinite illusion while paying homage to the beauty that surrounds us.

Karin Köpfli-Fehlmanns’ original artworks are presented in private and public collections in Switzerland and Singapore.

Sie ist in der ehemaligen Tschechoslowakei geboren, ihre Mutter ist Deutsche und der Vater Slowake. In Deutschland aufgewachsen, hat sie ab dem Alter von 18 Jahren in Hawaii und anschliessend in Paris gelebt.

Diese kosmopolitische Künstlerin malt eine visionäre Welt und bringt eine universale Botschaft zum Ausdruck, in der ihr Anliegen unserer gesellschaftlichen Probleme sowie der Umweltschutz im Vordergrund stehen. Die innere Befindlichkeit und tiefe Infragestellung kommen in ihren grossformatigen Portraits und Seelenlandschaften immer wieder zum Vorschein. Während ihrer regelmässigen Teilnahme an den Klimastreiks in Bern und Lausanne machte Pavlina Bekanntschaft mit dem Nobelpreisträger und Professor Jacques Dubochet, der mit Greta Thunberg in Lausanne viel Medienunterstützung erhielt. Pavlina’s Bilder reflektieren ihr persönliches Engagement, und wurden bereits in mehr als hundert Ausstellungen in Galerien, Kulturzentren, Stiftungen, Kunstmessen und Museen gezeigt.

Artist statement

The objective of my art is, through combining the opportunities of digital technology with traditional painting and the art of poetry, to evoke emotions, to stimulate reflection and daydreams. I prefer painting flowers, following a quote of Buddha: “If you could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change”.

My art is in general simple, plain and focused on the essentials, often with Japanese or Asian touch. Each painting gets a small poem as title, which is built similarly to a Japanese haiku, intended to stimulate thinking and reflection.

Came to creating art objects since 2010 by working on the problem of ‘resurrection’ old yet meaningful photos, made on simple devices.
In preparing them as large photographs, I came upon very unexpected results. It turned out that the potential of such images was substantially higher than just ‘beloved memories’, every image contained its hidden mathematics and could be developed into something unknown yet carrying its basic sense.

Das plastische Werk von Thomas Welti vereint die zeitgemäße Formvorstellung mit dem alten Handwerk des Bildhauers und des Keramikers. Hauptthema seines Schaffens bildet der menschliche Körper, insbesondere der weibliche Akt, in seiner leicht abstrakten Darstellung.
Seine Formen strahlen Harmonie und Sinnlichkeit aus und regen den Betrachter an, sich mit seinen Werken auseinanderzusetzen. Die Plastiken bestechen durch die Verbindung zwischen Abstraktion und Figuration, dem Spannungsfeld von Sichtbarmachen und Verdecken, der Sicherheit im Umgang mit dem Material, der Körperlichkeit und der Sinnlichkeit der Oberfläche, die durch jahrelange intensive Auseinandersetzung entsteht. From 1974 to 1980, he studied at the College of Fine Arts in Bratislava. After completing basic preparation, he focused on the studies of Prof. R. Pribiš in the Department of Relief Sculpture.

Since completing his studies, he has worked in free professions – he is implementing an extensive set of sculptural works in architecture, in the area of monument and memorial formation, as well as in the area of free formation – with special emphasis on the figural female torso, nudes, or, more precisely, composition. He is also dedicated to the non-traditional layering of decorative sculpture, or more precisely the composition of architectonic objects, genre composition, useful aspects of free sculptural work designed for gardens, and interior decorative sculptural work – in the area of glass, ceramics, bronze, stone, and specifically malleable and moulded materials and structural metals.

He has realized an extensive collection of works in the area of sculptural portrait and monument formation, which is dedicated to national activists, traditions and movements related to Matica Slovenská. Also appreciable and notable are his initiatives related to sacral topics and motives – they are dedicated to the Cyril and Methodius traditions, as well as Christological motifs and values. Also remarkable are his art and artistic initiatives, conceptual activities and especially the, thus far, implemented collection and range of diverse and impressive sculptural creations which he, as the author of truly inventive works, applied in the completion of Bratislava.

Hanna is a contemporary architect and artist. Regardless of the acceptance of the strictness of the lines, which implies architecture, Hanna’s Artworks are more abstract, plastic and nature-oriented than strictly drawn. The main source of inspiration to Hanna is Nature. The constant themes of her work are flowers, green foliage and abstraction. Mountains and sensations of them reflect on Hanna’s paintings which performed on the verge of reality and abstraction. Hanna’s Art works are made with the use of oil and soft pastel on different colors of paper and canvas.
